Announcement: Sijin's Upcoming Podcast / Online Talk Show Appearance

Dear Friends,

Last week, I was honored to receive an invitation from Elena Tereshchenkova, co-host of Translators On Air, to appear on the show. Translators On Air, previously known as Blabbing Translators, is a one-of-a-kind live talk show for language professionals and is now in its third season. My dear friend Kozue Macmichael, the show's inaugural guest, was sweet enough to recommend me for the show (thanks, Kozue!) to talk about my experience with the computerized certification exam of the American Translators Association. I passed the exam on my first try in August, 2016.

My episode is scheduled to go live at 12pm EST on May 10. You may find the link to the live streaming here. The video will also be available on YouTube and the audio recording on iTunes.

I will cover the following topics in my talk:

  • What was it like to take the computerized ATA certification exam?

  • New changes have been made to the ATA certification exam starting in 2017. What difference do those make?

  • What are some of the ways to prepare for the ATA certification exam?

  • Is ATA certification worth it?

I hope you will join me, and please let me know if you would like to suggest additional topics to cover regarding the exam!
